Birds of the
Top End lists more than 200 bird species recorded in the Katherine
Region of the Northern Territory and provides introductory information
for each species.
Most of the
birds are fairly easy to observe. The more sought after endemic
species like the Hooded
Parrot can be difficult to find without local knowledge and
access to sites where they occur.
Guided tours
lasting just a few hours or up to several days can be personally
tailored to fit your timetable and to meet your special needs.
With 28 years
experience in the Katherine Region, I can assist in maximising your
birding visit to the area. Included in guided bird tours are visits
to unique Outback features like Aboriginal rock art sites, wildlife
including wallabies, crocodiles and other reptiles which inhabit
the pristine natural bush land of the Top End.
